Single & Ready to Dink: Meet Single Pickleball Players Near You
Plenty of people meet at the courts. One profile tag on InstaPickleball lets single players 18 and older say so, and find each other, while the app stays a pickleball app.

Plenty of friendships, and more than a few relationships, start at the pickleball courts. The hard part is knowing who's single, and that's not something you ask between points.
What the tag is
Single & Ready to Dink is an opt-in tag on your InstaPickleball profile, a pickleball twist on "single and ready to mingle." It isn't a separate dating app, and there's no swiping or matching. It tells other players you're single and open to meeting people. After that, you meet the way pickleball players always have: by playing.
The rules, and why they exist
- 18 and older only. The tag is offered only to players whose birth date shows they're 18 or older.
- It's public. Anyone who opens your profile or your card on the map sees it.
- No filtering in secret. In the app, only players who carry the tag themselves can filter for it. To search for it, you have to wear it too.
- A seven-day commitment. Once set, the tag can't be removed for 7 days. That keeps it a decision rather than a whim, so wearing it is a deliberate choice.
How to turn it on
Open Me → Edit profile → Tags. Under Social, tap Single & Ready to Dink. The app spells out what the tag means and reminds you that it's public and stays on for 7 days. Tap Yes, I'm single to confirm.
How to find other single players
On the map, tap Players on the right-hand bar, then the filter icon next to the search bar. Under Tags (Optional), choose Single & Ready to Dink. Adjust the DUPR range and the distance to find someone you'd also enjoy playing with.
Then make the easy move: invite them to play. A game at a public court, or a Session with a few friends, is a low-pressure way to meet. If you hit it off, you already know you both like dinking.
Staying safe
- Your exact spot is never shown. A post on the map shows a court you pick or an approximate area, never your GPS position.
- Your last name and age stay hidden unless you switch them on in Me → Edit profile and save. By default other players see your first name and last initial.
- Block anyone, anytime. Once you block someone, they can't message you, follow you or get notifications about you, and their profile and posts disappear from your app. Group chats and Sessions you're both in aren't affected.
- Report what's not okay. Use the three-dot menu on a profile or in a one-to-one chat. Our team reviews reports.
One honest note: ages come from the birth date each player enters, and we don't check IDs. Meet at the courts, in public, and use the same judgment you would anywhere you meet someone new.
